About deforestation in Ratanakiri
The logging is the most upsetting aspect of this trip - it is something you hear about but never usually experience first hand, you can see the distress that it causes the people at the research center and you know that they are doing what they can to help protect the area and its wildlife by raising awareness - I only hope this happens before it is too late..

… the only disturbing aspect of the trip was the illegal logging that seems to occur at night. I hope that all who visit can do all they can to raise awareness about this problem.
